A useful place to begin

Help the next buyer ask a better question.

A buyer may discover your company through a community search, a showhome tour or a comparison with another builder. They still need to understand what you build, what is included and how to take the next step. This directory connects that early research with practical buyer education and the people who can clarify the details.

Austin and the REP team focus on buyer-side new-build guidance: organizing priorities, comparing written information and preparing for important decisions. Builder sales teams bring project-specific knowledge. Clear roles and reliable information make those conversations more productive without blurring who represents whom.

Four practical ways to collaborate

01

Make your profile more useful

Help us distinguish your product lines, building approach and project geography using public primary sources. Tell us which company name belongs to the legal builder, which project names need clarification and where readers should confirm current details. Specific evidence is more useful than superlatives.

02

Prepare buyers for the first appointment

Share your preferred appointment contact, REALTOR® registration instructions and the information your sales team needs before a visit. Austin and REP can help buyers organize their priorities and questions. Your team can then address the actual home, lot and purchase process rather than starting from an incomplete brief.

03

Explain the choices behind the home

Propose a model walkthrough, construction-process conversation or practical explanation of a design choice. Useful topics include standard versus optional features, home-type differences, energy specifications and what changes between phases. Any visit or filming needs the builder’s permission, an agreed scope and appropriate site access.

04

Keep information connected after publication

Nominate a contact for factual corrections and share the source when public project information changes. A useful update identifies what changed, the effective date and which page it affects. We can review that evidence without treating old tour footage as a current specification sheet or an availability feed.

Education already in the library

See the questions a tour can answer.

The REP YYC library includes builder-specific tours and conversations. Explore the StreetSide and Trico profile galleries for examples of project context linked to a builder’s research page. These are historical videos, not proof of a current partnership, current specifications or homes available today.

Start small. Agree on the next step.

  1. Introduce the right people. Share your company, role, project and public website. Tell Austin whether you need a correction, buyer-process clarification or a content conversation.
  2. Set a useful scope. Identify the buyer question, supporting sources, appropriate contact and any permissions needed. Discuss commercial terms separately if relevant; an introduction commits neither team to a service.
  3. Keep facts and roles visible. Agree which information is public, how changing details will be labelled and how any relevant relationship should be disclosed. Our editorial policy continues to apply.

Builder collaboration questions

Does a directory profile mean we are partners?

No. A profile is independent research. A working relationship, co-marketing arrangement or buyer transaction requires its own discussion and any appropriate disclosures. Neither directory inclusion nor appearing in a video establishes an exclusive relationship.

Can we send a correction without discussing marketing?

Yes. Send the page address, the exact statement, the correction and a public primary source. Factual accuracy is separate from any collaboration discussion. Builder input helps establish facts; it does not confer editorial control or change the research standards.

Can REP represent the buyer while co-operating with our sales team?

The roles must be clear to everyone. Discuss representation, registration requirements and any applicable compensation before proceeding. Co-operation on appointments and information does not replace the buyer’s representation agreement or authorize REP to make commitments on a builder’s behalf.

Do we need to provide listings or inventory?

No. CalgaryHomeBuilders.ca concentrates on builder research and buyer education. QuickPossessions.ca is the separate destination for inventory discovery. For this site, a clear explanation of your product and process is more useful than a price list that may quickly become outdated.

Will a collaboration guarantee leads, rankings or a featured position?

No. We do not promise search rankings, lead volume, sales or preferential editorial treatment. Any proposed commercial work needs a separate scope and clear disclosure. A factual correction does not require a paid placement or a reciprocal link.

What we help buyers prepare

Have a project worth explaining?

Send Austin a public project link and the one thing you wish buyers understood before arriving at your sales centre. That is a useful starting point for a conversation.
